Catalogs: Your Service & Pricing Command Center
Catalogs are client-facing, multi-page product brochures you design inside WorkZen, built from your Price Book items with templates for covers, product pages, and image galleries. Publish a catalog and share it with anyone through a public link.
Your Price Book is where your team looks up prices. A catalog is what you show the client: a designed, multi-page brochure of your products and services, built inside WorkZen and shared with a link. Same data, different audience.
| Price Book | Catalog | |
|---|---|---|
| Who sees it | Your team | Your clients |
| What it holds | Items with prices, costs, markups | Designed pages showcasing selected items |
| What it's for | Building estimates and invoices | Sales material you share with a link |
Create a catalog
Go to Catalog in the sidebar and click New Catalog (or Create First Catalog if it's your first). Give it a Title, add an optional description, and click Create Catalog.
Design the pages
A catalog is a stack of pages, and the first one is always the cover. Click Create Cover Page and pick from the Cover Page Templates: Hero Center, Split Left, Classic, Bold, or Elegant. Set the title, colors, and a background image.
Then click Add Page for each additional page:
- Product Page Templates show one large item centered or two side by side. You pick the items straight from your Price Book, so names, descriptions, prices, and photos come from data you already maintain.
- Content Page Templates include an Image Gallery (a 2x2 grid) for before-and-after shots or completed work.
Each page's editable zones accept text and images (PNG, JPG, GIF up to 10MB). Click Save Page as you go, and Preview to see the client view.
Publish and share
Edits are drafts until you publish. When the builder shows Unpublished changes, click Publish to push everything live. Then click Copy Link to grab a public link; anyone who has it can open the published catalog in their browser, no account needed. Send it in a quote email, text it after a site visit, or drop it on your website.
When a catalog has served its purpose, archive it. Archived catalogs are hidden from the list but can be restored later.
Catalog count is limited by plan: 1 on Zen (free), 3 on ZenGrow, unlimited on ZenAI.
Keep the Price Book healthy first
Because product pages pull from the Price Book, a catalog is only as good as the items behind it. Clean names, client-friendly descriptions, current prices, and good photos in the Price Book pay off twice: faster estimates for your team, and a sharper catalog for your clients.
