Google Ads & SEO/GEO Specialist

Own paid search and SEO/GEO across multiple home-services accounts. Long-term, full-time contractor role. We're hiring a person, not an agency.

Requirements

  • Proven track record running Google Ads (Search) at scale: multi-account, multi-budget
  • Hands-on Local Services Ads (LSA) experience
  • Solid SEO foundation: on-page, technical, content briefs, internal linking, schema
  • Understand Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): getting cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude
  • Comfortable owning the full funnel from keyword research to conversion tracking and CRO
  • Deep experience in home services verticals (HVAC, roofing, garage doors, plumbing, electrical, etc.) is a big plus
  • Strong written and spoken English. Our clients are based in the US and Canada
  • Based in South East Asia is a plus, as the team is located in Thailand

Responsibilities

  • Plan, launch, and optimize Google Ads (Search + LSA) campaigns across multiple home-services accounts
  • Own SEO strategy and execution: keyword maps, content briefs, technical fixes, internal linking
  • Lead GEO efforts: structure pages, citations, and content so AI search engines surface our clients
  • Set up and maintain conversion tracking, attribution, and reporting
  • Write monthly reports for our clients
  • Coordinate with our content and dev teams when on-site changes are needed
  • Report directly to the COO, taking ownership of the strategic decisions regarding the different accounts

About WorkZen

WorkZen is a field service management platform built for home-services businesses: HVAC, roofing, garage doors, plumbing, electrical, and the rest of the trades. We help service business owners replace the spreadsheets, sticky notes, and missed calls with one calm, simple system for scheduling, dispatching, estimating, invoicing, and client management.

Our core team is based in Thailand and works across the US and Canada markets. We're a small, focused crew: short feedback loops, no bureaucracy, and a strong opinion that good marketing is honest marketing.

The Role

We're hiring one Google Ads & SEO/GEO Specialist to own paid search and organic acquisition across multiple home-services accounts, both sides of the house. You're not the "ads person" who hands off to the "SEO person." You're both.

A few things to set expectations:

  • One person, not an agency. We've worked with agencies. We'd rather have one expert who knows our accounts deeply and stays for the long haul. That's the relationship we want.
  • Full-time commitment. You're a full-time part of the team, not someone squeezing us in between three other clients. We're hiring you to grow with us as the company grows, with real room to take on more responsibility over time.
  • You work with the COO. The COO is the bridge between you and the client, relaying direction, recommendations, and feedback. You and the COO strategize as a team, and you own the strategic decisions across the accounts.
  • Home services is the whole vertical. Every account you work on will be in the trades. If you've already learned what an emergency-HVAC CPC looks like at 2am, you'll feel right at home.

What You'll Do

  • Run Google Ads. Search and LSA, across multiple accounts. You own the build, the optimization, the budget pacing, and the results.
  • Own SEO end to end. Keyword research, on-page, technical, content briefs for our writers, internal linking, schema, the whole stack.
  • Lead our GEO strategy. AI search engines are sending real traffic now. You'll figure out how to structure pages, build citations, and shape content so ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude actually surface our clients.
  • Set up conversion tracking. Goals, events, attribution windows, server-side where it makes sense. You'll know what's working because you built the measurement.
  • Report plainly. Once a month, report to the client: what's working, what isn't, what you're changing. No fluff dashboards nobody reads.

Who You Are

  • You've run Google Ads at scale: multi-account, multi-budget, real money. Not a side hobby.
  • You've shipped real SEO work: not just audits and recommendations, actual rankings and traffic you can point to.
  • You've worked LSA specifically: verification, dispute management, lead quality, the whole song and dance.
  • You understand GEO. You've been watching how AI search is changing visibility, and you have a real, tested point of view on what works.
  • You understand home services. Or you're hungry to specialize and you can show us you can ramp fast.
  • You're direct. You tell us when something we're asking for is a bad idea.
  • You're self-driven, and you decide as a team. You run the accounts day to day on your own. On the bigger strategic calls, you bring the recommendation, the COO approves it, and you own the execution from there.
  • You're based in or near South East Asia so we can have real conversations during overlapping hours.
