WorkZen plans, what's in each, and how to switch

All plansBeginner4 minutesUpdated August 7, 2026

WorkZen has three platform plans, Zen (free forever), ZenGrow, and ZenAI, managed under Settings > Subscription Plans. Switch plans or billing cycles there any time; cancelling keeps your plan active until the end of the billing period, then drops you to the free Zen plan without losing your data.

Your platform plan decides which WorkZen features are open and how much capacity you have. All three are managed from Settings > Subscription Plans, and current pricing is always on the pricing page.

The three plans

PlanThe gistHighlights
ZenFree foreverAdvanced lead collection, estimates and invoicing, job management, price book and catalog, multi-visit jobs, easy scheduling
ZenGrowThe growth planEverything in Zen, plus unlimited clients, lead response alerting, job completion reports, multiple kanban boards, multiple checklists, credit card payments
ZenAIThe AI planEverything in ZenGrow, plus the AI features: unlimited AI checklist generation, AI completion reports, AI customized catalogs, the WorkZen price book database, and a dedicated account manager

Throughout the help center, the plan chip at the top of every article tells you which plans include that feature, so you never read three paragraphs to discover a feature isn't on your plan.

Paid plans come with a 14-day free trial: a payment method is collected at signup, and nothing is charged until the trial ends.

Monthly vs yearly

Both paid plans bill Monthly or Yearly, and yearly saves the equivalent of 2 months. Switching your cycle is a button on the plans page (Change to Yearly).

Switching plans

Click Switch Plan on any plan card. Upgrades open the new features immediately. Downgrades take effect and gate features accordingly, and your data always stays put: records created under a bigger plan remain readable; you just can't exceed the smaller plan's limits going forward.

Cancelling

Cancelling a paid plan keeps it active until the end of the current billing period, then drops you to the free Zen plan. Until that date, the plans page shows when your subscription ends and offers Resume Subscription if you change your mind. There's also Cancel immediately (no refund) for when you want out now and accept forfeiting the remaining time.

Note

ZenPhone and the AI Receptionist are separate subscriptions on top of your platform plan, sized to lines and usage. Cancelling the platform plan and cancelling those are independent decisions. See ZenPhone.
