Capture WordPress form leads in WorkZen

All plansBeginner10 minutesUpdated August 15, 2026

Install the free WorkZen Connector plugin from the WordPress plugin directory, copy your integration key from Settings > Integrations > WordPress in WorkZen, paste it into WorkZen > Configuration in your WordPress admin, and click Test Connection. Submissions from the form plugins you already run start arriving as leads immediately.

Your WordPress site already has forms, and those forms already work. The WorkZen Connector does not replace them. It sits behind them and forwards every submission into WorkZen as a lead, with the source stamped automatically.

Install the plugin

In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add Plugin and search for "WorkZen". Install and activate WorkZen Connector. It is free and lives in the official WordPress plugin directory.

A new WorkZen item appears in your WordPress sidebar with three pages: Configuration, Queue, and More Info.

Connect it to your account

In WorkZen, go to Settings > Integrations > WordPress. Copy the integration key shown on that page.

Back in WordPress, open WorkZen > Configuration, paste the key into Integration Key, and save. Then click Test Connection at the bottom. A success message confirms your site can reach WorkZen.

Warning

Regenerating the key in WorkZen invalidates the old one immediately. Your site stops sending leads until you paste the new key into the plugin.

Choose how forms are captured

The Configuration page offers two modes:

ModeWhat it doesBest for
AutomaticCaptures from every supported form plugin, including ones you install laterAlmost everyone
ManualYou tick exactly which plugins are allowed to sendSites with forms that should stay out of WorkZen

Automatic is the default and the recommendation. Supported plugins today: Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Ninja Forms, Elementor Pro, Divi, Fluent Forms, Forminator, Formidable Forms, Everest Forms, MetForm, and Houzez.

Add the floating button (optional)

The connector also ships a floating button for the corner of every page: a contact form, a click-to-call line, WhatsApp, and real appointment booking against your work hours. Turn it on from the Configuration page and set the position, size, icon, color, and tooltips there.

Shortcodes are available if you would rather place things inline: [workzen-lead-form], [workzen-scheduler], [workzen-lead-form-button], and [workzen-scheduler-button].

When a lead does not arrive

Open WorkZen > Queue in your WordPress admin. Every submission the connector handled is logged there with a result.

  • Failed entries almost always mean a bad integration key. Re-copy it from WorkZen and run Test Connection.
  • Success entries with nothing in WorkZen means the lead was accepted on our side. Contact support with the timestamp and we can trace it.
