Track equipment with Bluetooth beacons

Attach a registered BLE beacon to any piece of equipment or vehicle, and your team's WorkZen mobile apps detect it as they work, reporting when and where it was last seen. Manage your beacons under Settings > Trackers; beacons are added to your account by WorkZen support.

The compressor is either in the warehouse, in Dave's truck, or at Tuesday's job site, and asking costs twenty minutes. Beacon trackers answer it from a screen: small Bluetooth (BLE) tags attached to gear and vehicles, spotted automatically by your team's phones as they work.

How it works

There's no per-tracker SIM card or charging ritual. Each beacon broadcasts over Bluetooth, and every WorkZen mobile app in range logs a sighting with GPS coordinates, in passing, while your techs do their normal day. The more your crew moves, the fresher your picture of where everything is.

Managing your trackers

Beacons are registered to your company by WorkZen support (contact support to add them). Once registered, they live under Settings > Trackers, where each beacon shows:

Rename each beacon to what it's attached to ("Trailer 2", "Ridgid press") and use the enable/disable toggle to pause tracking on any of them.

Active beacons with GPS coordinates also appear on the map, so "where's the trailer" is a glance, not a group text.

Tip

Name beacons after the asset, not the beacon ("Generator, big" beats "Beacon 07"). Six months from now, nobody remembers which number was on the trailer.
