Add minutes or ZenPhone Max to your phone plan
Open Company Settings and go to Phone Plans. Add Minutes sells extra calling minutes, 100 at a time, as a monthly add-on on top of your plan. Change Plan (or Add ZenPhone Max) turns Max on or off or switches to yearly billing; lines stay as bought, more lines is another plan. Upgrades apply right away and your card on file pays the prorated difference; downgrades wait for the end of the billing cycle.
Running out of minutes mid-month used to mean buying a second subscription, which also meant a second line. Now extra minutes are sold on their own, and a ZenPhone subscription can be changed in place for ZenPhone Max or a switch to yearly billing, on the same numbers. Lines stay as bought: more lines is another plan.
Add minutes
- Open Company Settings and go to Phone Plans. The Extra minutes card sits above your subscriptions.
- Click Add Minutes and use plus and minus to pick how many minutes you want, 100 at a time. The price per month updates as you go. Texting stays unlimited.
- Click Continue to payment and pay with a saved card or a new one.
The minutes count from the moment the payment goes through. If outbound calls were paused for lack of minutes, they resume.
Extra minutes are a monthly add-on on top of your plan, whatever the plan's billing cycle. On a yearly plan you still pay for the extra minutes month by month.
To change the amount later, click Change on the Extra minutes card. More minutes apply right away and Stripe charges the prorated difference. Fewer minutes take effect at the end of the current month, and zero cancels the add-on at the end of the month; the card says what is coming and when. If the add-on is set to end, Keep my minutes keeps it going.
Change the plan itself
- On a subscription card, click Change Plan. Add ZenPhone Max opens the same builder with Max already on.
- The builder opens with your current lines shown and your add-ons selected. Turn ZenPhone Max on or off, or pick Yearly billing. Lines cannot change here.
- Click Change Plan and confirm. The confirmation says whether the change applies now or at the end of your billing cycle.
There is no checkout: the card already on file pays the difference.
When it takes effect
- Right away: ZenPhone Max on, or switching from monthly to yearly. Stripe charges the prorated difference today.
- At the end of the billing cycle: ZenPhone Max removed. You keep Max until then. The card shows Change scheduled and the date it switches. On a yearly plan that date is the renewal.
- Another plan: more lines. Click Buy Another Plan at the top of Phone Plans; the new plan comes with its own line slots. Fewer lines means cancelling a plan from its card.
- Not available: switching a yearly plan to monthly. The year runs its course; the Monthly option is greyed out until renewal.
What stays the same
Your phone numbers, who they are assigned to, call flows, voicemail, recordings and call history do not move. The subscription is the same one; only the plan behind it changes.
Check your minutes
On My Numbers, click Usage to see how many minutes are left this period and when they reset. Admins get an alert at 80%, and once you go over your included minutes outbound calls can pause until the reset. Adding minutes lifts the limit immediately.
